Emma Tyrrell is not quite sure how she ended up writing about money, but she’s been doing it for eight years now, so it can’t be all that bad.
Before becoming a freelance journalist in 2001, she was personal finance editor for the Sunday Express newspaper. Since going it alone, she has written for a variety of national newspapers, on finance, consumer issues, health and property.
Emma has written on all major personal finance issues, covering everything from the fluffiest consumer shopping tale to the techiest pension problems, and taking in investments, loans, insurance and a few scams and scandals along the way. She has won awards for her money and consumer journalism.
However, she counts it as a matter of personal pride that she has never yet written a story about pet insurance.
