This is a tax
relief you can claim on mortgage interest payments. The highest amount of
relief is as follows: |

You cannot claim on the first EUR 130 if you're single or widowed, or
on the first EUR 254 if you are married.
In the tax year 2001
tax relief will be available at the standard rate of 20%.
To
get exact figures on your mortgage interest relief contact your Tax
Office.
An interest
certificate is issued to you when your loan is set up, outlining the
estimated sum of interest to be charged up to the end of the current tax
year. You should contact your tax office for a claim form. When you send
the completed form back to them, they will adjust your tax-free
