NORDEA
The Nordic region's biggest bank said it had signed a deal to buy state-administered
Danish bank Fionia Bank (Copenhagen: AMSP.CO - news) for 121 million euros ($174 million).
Nordea said in a statement the purchase excluded the 'bad bank' portion of Fionia which fell into the hands of state administrators in February after heavy writedowns and loan losses from a property bubble that burst.

GN STORE NORD (Copenhagen: DGN.CO - news)
Danish hearing aid and headset maker GN Store Nord said late on Friday its DPTG unit had filed a new claim of 5.0 billion Danish crowns ($964.7 million) against Polish telecom group TPSA for the period 1994 to mid-2004 in an ongoing arbitration case.
DPTG had earlier submitted a claim of 6.3 billion for the period from 1994-2007. GN Store Nord said it would later submit further claims for the remaining contract period from mid-2004 to 2009. The dispute is over money from traffic over a fibre-optic network which DPTG installed.
