Solvay to start sodium bicarbonate production in Rosignano, Italy in 2009
BRUSSELS (Thomson Financial) - Chemical and pharmaceutical group Solvay SA (Brussels: SOLB.BR - news) said that it plans to build a new sodium bicarbonate production plant in Rosignano, Italy, in 2009.
In its annual report, the group said new sodium bicarbonate capacity expansions were successfully brought on stream in Torrelavega, Spain as well as in Povoa, Portugal, in 2007.
Solvay also has a production plant in Bernburg, Germany.
