Safran's Sagem unit's contract for Ivory Coast elections worth 101 mln eur
PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Safran (Paris: FR0000073272 - news) unit Sagem Securite's contract for services related to the 2008 presidential elections in Ivory Coast is worth 101 mln eur, according to a spokesman for the country's Prime Minister Guillaume Soro.
Ivory Coast signed an agreement on March 19, specifying the costs at this level, the spokesman said.
However, a final financial document has not yet been signed and Sagem was proposing a figure of 126 mln eur before the negotiations, the spokesman added.
Sagem was chosen at the end of November (Frankfurt: A0S9N7 - news) to carry out services including updating the electoral roll from the last presidential elections in 2008, as well as manufacturing identity cards and polling cards.
