Europe's largest defence electronics firm Thales met forecasts with a 2 percent rise in 2008 operating income and said its profitability would be at least stable in 2009, while toning down revenue ambitions.

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said on Thursday that it had lowered its long-term corporate credit and senior unsecured debt ratings on elevision Francaise 1 S.A. (TF1) to 'BBB' from 'BBB+'.The outlook is stable.

At the same time, the 'A-2' short-term corporate credit rating was affirmed.

The Dutch brewer issued 400 million pounds worth of 6 year notes carrying a coupon of 7.25 percent.
