Monster most volatile in industrials

NEW YORK (AP) - As the quarter winds down, online career services company Monster Worldwide Inc (NASDAQ: MNST - news) . is the most volatile
stock in the industrials sector of the S&P 500 index.

The stock has an average 'beta value,' or measure of volatility, of 1.58, which implies that, in theory, it is 58 percent more volatile than the market in general.

The least volatile stock in the group is defense contractor Northrop Grumman Corp (NYSE: NOC - news) ., with a beta value of 0.76.
