PREVIEW-Danish Q2 GDP seen down 5.3 pct, jobless seen up
COPENHAGEN, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Denmark's gross domestic
product (GDP) was seen dropping 5.3 percent in the second
quarter on a year-on-year, non-seasonally adjusted basis, a
Reuters survey of eight economists showed on Friday.
Estimates ranged from a drop of 4.2 percent to a plunge of
5.9 percent, with the median expectation at -5.1 percent.
Seasonally adjusted GDP was estimated to have fallen 0.8
percent quarter-on-quarter, according to the median of
economists' forecasts.
The second-quarter GDP data have been delayed by companies'
deferred value-added tax reports, which hindered the compilation
of statistics.
The August unemployment rate was expected to rise to 3.9
percent of the workforce from 3.7 percent in July, the median of
eight estimates showed.
The national statistics office will publish the GDP data on
Wednesday, Sept. 30, and unemployment on Thursday, Oct. 1, both
indicators at 0730 GMT.
