AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) - Royal BAM NV said on Wednesday its HBG Construction Ltd. subsidiary has won a 160 million euro contract to design and build a new laboratory at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

The new molecular biology laboratory will be built for the Medical Research Council and will double the size of the existing facility.

It will serve around 400 scientists and 200 support staff.

The project includes a 32,500 square metre main laboratory building and an adjacent energy centre of 4,600 square metres.

Construction is scheduled to begin later this year and is expected to take about three years.
