BRIEF-Merck KGaA agrees to buy MediCult, trumping Vitrolife
LONDON, Feb 23 (Reuters) - Merck KGaA (MKGAY.PK - news) :
* Announces recommended voluntary offer for MediCult
* Will launch recommended cash tender for MediCult at NOK 13.50 per share,
valuing MediCult at approximately NOK 383 million
* Offer represents a 65% premium to January 13 price, the day before Vitrolife
announced its intention to acquire MediCult
