Hewlett-Packard CEO's 2008 compensation $42.5 mln
Jan 21 (Reuters) - Hewlett-Packard Co Chief Executive Mark Hurd's total compensation for fiscal year 2008 rose over 68 percent to about $42.5 million, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The compensation also included bonuses from previous years.
In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday, the world's largest personal-computer maker said the compensation included salary of $1.45 million, a $5.3 million bonus, $12.9 million in stock awards and $18.6 million in non-equity incentive plan compensation.
The company proposed last week that it give shareholders a say in executive compensation from 2011, though their input would not be binding.
HP posted a 21 percent rise in fourth-quarter 2008 sales of notebook computers, and a near doubling in revenue from technology services thanks to its acquisition of Electronic Data Systems (NYSE: EDS - news) .
