Spain's Gamesa secures 200 mln euro EIB loan

MADRID, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Wind turbine maker Gamesa (Madrid: GAM.MC - news) has secured a 200 million euro ($279 million) credit line from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance its research and development plan to 2011, the company said on Friday.

Gamesa is researching how to improve the yield of wind turbines and reduce energy costs by changing the design of their components, the company said.
