CYBERONICS INC (CYBX - news) , $16.82, up 5 pct The medical-device maker posted a higher quarterly profit, helped by strong growth in its epilepsy business and a non-cash tax gain, and raised its full-year 2010 revenue outlook.
DICK'S SPORTING GOODS INC, $22.41, down 10 pct
The company reported quarterly results that handily beat market expectations as sales of cold weather products shifted into the third quarter, but forecast fourth-quarter earnings below estimates.
SEMTECH CORP (NASDAQ: SMTC - news) , $15.82, down 7 pct
The company, which makes analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products, posted an adjusted quarterly profit that missed estimates, and said it has agreed to acquire privately held Sierra Monolithics Inc for $180 million in cash.
JACK IN THE BOX (NYSE: JBX - news) , $19.48, down 3 pct
The company posted a 51 percent increase in quarterly profit, helped by refranchising efforts and cost controls, but forecast disappointing fiscal 2010 earnings.
HOT TOPIC INC, $5.88, down 12 pct
The teen clothing retailer posted a quarterly profit that was in line with estimates, but forecast fourth-quarter earnings below market expectations.
CONEXANT SYSTEMS INC, $2.58, up 4 pct
The company said it planned to retire $61.4 million of senior secured debt in December and called for redemption of remaining floating rate senior secured notes due 2010.
WOODWARD GOVERNOR CO, $25.19, down 2 pct
The company, which makes energy control systems and components, posted a lower quarterly profit, hurt by a drop in sales at some of its segments, and said it expects sales in fiscal 2010 to be flat.
PETSMART INC, $25.99, down 1 pct
The pet products retailer quarterly profit topped market estimates, helped by an 8 percent rise in pet services sales, and raised its full-year earnings forecast.
NAVIOS MARITIME PARTNERS LP, $14.65, down 7 pct
Drybulk carrier said it plans to publicly offer 4 million common units to fund its fleet expansion and for general partnership purposes, sending its shares down 6 percent in after-market trade.
GYMBOREE CORP (NASDAQ: GYMB - news) , $39.61, down 3 pct
The company saw a low to mid-single digit fall in comparable store sales for the crucial holiday quarter and forecast earnings for the period that fell well short of market expectations.
AMERICAN SUPERCONDUCTOR CORP, $32.82, up 1 pct
The company said it expects fiscal 2010 per-share adjusted earnings to grow more than 80 percent, helped by a strong backlog and lower costs, and reaffirmed its outlook for this year.
