Co up after results beat forecast

Shares in in Gannett Co rose 1.2 percent to $13.16 after the
largest U.S. newspaper publisher, reported a lower quarterly profit that beat
market forecasts on Monday because of cost cuts, while revenue fell because of
a 28 percent drop in publishing advertising sales.
The broad S&P 500 rose 0.2 percent.
