Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management Ltd. is authorised & regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Axa Framlington Biotech Fund on 3 April 2008. The fund has been managed by Deane Donnigan since late last year while the group were on the look out for an experienced individual to replace the former manager.

Andy Smith has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for nearly 30 years with roles including academic research, product development and fund management. He has also successfully managed the International Biotechnology Trust for a venture capitalist firm.

This may prove to be a positive addition to the Axa Framlington healthcare team, but we would like to see how the fund performs under the new manager. We have therefore removed the fund from the Wealth 150 list. We do not believe investors should sell the fund. If we see a pick up in the sector and the manager’s stock picking excels we may consider reinstating the fund to the Wealth 150 list.
