Stock market investors take advantage of volatility

Investors morale has not been shaken by recent market volatility, according to The Share Centre.
Research carried out by the stockbroker found that, while more than a third (36%) of investors felt the stock market was particularly volatile
over the past six months, 75% strongly agreed that there had still been opportunities for those who knew what they were doing.
In addition, 37% of investors thought the last six months had provided opportunities to pick up bargain stocks and only 28% felt unsure about what to do with their stock market investments.
Andy Parsons, spokesperson for The Share Centre, emphasised the need for investors to have a financial plan. He commented: It is essential that investors consider the financial events that may occur throughout their lifetime, and that they understand where the finances to pay for these events will come from.
A simple strategy is to earmark certain savings or investments for certain events and remember not to access those monies until required. Failure to adopt these principles could mean hopes and dreams fade, while an increase in debt may potentially follow.
