London shares outlook - down as NY closes weak, ahead of BoE minutes
LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Leading shares look set to open lower ahead of the Bank of England minutes as Wall Street closed weaker with banks a possible focus after a downbeat broker report by Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS
- news) and J Sainsbury another potential spotlight when it releases its first quarter trading figures.
Spread bettors IG Index see the FTSE 100 index to open around 9 points lower at 5,846 after closing Tuesday 67.3 points higher at 5,961.8.
