UK DMO auction of 2.25 bln pounds in 2042 gilts covered by bids 1.69 times

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - The UK's Debt Management Office said its auction of 2.25 billion pounds in Treasury gilts maturing in 2042 was covered by bids 1.69 times.

Bids for the gilts, which carry a yield of 4.25 percent, totaled
3.799 billion pounds.

The highest accepted bid was 99.01 with a yield of 4.557 percent, while the lowest accepted bid was 98.70 with a yield of 4.575 percent.

Bids at the lowest accepted price were allocated approximately 20 percent of the amount bid for, the DMO said.
