Indesit declines comment on any interest for GE white goods division
MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Indesit Company SpA declines to comment on reports it could be interested in buying the white goods division of General Electric (NYSE: GE - news) , said an Indesit spokesman.
In an unsourced report, Il Sole 24 Ore (Milan: S24.MI - news) newspaper said Indesit could link up with a private equity partner to acquire the GE division, which is being valued at $5 billion to $8 billion.
