Credit Suisse CEO confident about group outlook, crisis not over

ZURICH (Thomson Financial) - Credit Suisse Group (NYSE: CS - news) 's chief executive Brady Dougan said he is extremely optimistic about the group's opportunities ahead.

However, speaking at American International Club of Geneva, Dougan added that he remains very cautious about the short-term environment.

'Recently, there has been some recovery in broad market indicators, prompting a number of prominent financial executives to say 'the end of the crisis is in sight', Dougan said.

Dougan warned though that 'whenever there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, it has turned out to be another train coming at us.'
