Cairn Energy, Baloise, Eramet, Hannover Re, Eutelsat added to MSCI from May 30
LONDON (Thomson Financial) - MSCI Barra said it will add 14 new companies, including Cairn Energy (LSE: CNE.L - news) , Baloise, Hannover Re and Eutelsat (Paris: FR0010221234 - news) to its MSCI Europe index and will make 110 deletions.
The changes will be effective from May 30, it added.
The group said the top 10 deletions included Volvo (Stockholm: VOLVB.ST - news) , APRR (Paris: FR0006807004 - news) , Yell, Ciba, Travis Perkins (LSE: TPK.L - news) , ARM Holdings (LSE: ARM.L - news) , Kesa Electricals (LSE: KESA.L - news) , Signet Group (LSE: 652355.L - news) , Barratt Developments (LSE: BDEV.L - news) and DSG International (LSE: DSGI.L - news) .
It also said it will increase its weightings for Standard Chartered (LSE: STAN.L - news) , Unicredit (Milan: UCG.MI - news) , EDF (Paris: FR0010242511 - news) , BMW (Xetra: 519000 - news) , Julius Baer (Virt-X: BAER.VX - news) , WM Morrison, Saipem (Milan: SPM.MI - news) , Shire (LSE: SHP.L - news) and Marfin, but decrease its weightings for Arcelor Mittal, BBVA (Madrid: BBVA.MC - news) , Volkswagen (Xetra: 766400 - news) , Metro (Xetra: 725750 - news) , Sainsbury (LSE: SBRY.L - news) , Unilever (LSE: ULVR.L - news) , Daimler (Frankfurt: A0STY7 - news) , BP (LSE: BP.L - news) and Philips (Amsterdam: PHI.AS - news) .
