Barclays private equity unit buy of CID cleared by EU
BRUSSELS (Thomson Financial) - The European Commission said it has cleared UK bank Barclays Plc.'s private equity unit's proposed acquisition of Germany's Car Interior Design Holding GmbH (CID).
No financial details were dislosed.
The transaction was reviewed under the EU's 'simplified' merger review procedure for cases which the commission believes do not pose competition concerns.
