Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on Monday

MILAN, March 16 (Reuters) - The following factors could affect Italian markets on Monday. Reuters has not verified the newspaper reports, and cannot vouch for their accuracy. New items are marked with (*). ENEL (Milan: ENEL.MI - news) Enel will not write down assets and intends to increase the market float of its Spanish unit Endesa (ENDESA.SN - news) when conditions allow, the Italian power group's chief executive said in an interview in Sunday's Corriere della Sera. BANCA ITALEASE (Milan: BIL.MI - news) , BANCO POPOLARE (Milan: BP.MI - news) * Banco Popolare will launch a buyout offer for affiliated Banca Italease at 1.50 euros a share and delist it as part of a reorganisation, Popolare and other shareholders said. Italease said late on Friday writedowns on doubtful and non-performing loans at the end of 2008 amount to around 850 million euros, meaning its capital ratios were significantly below minimum requirements. * TOD'S The luxury goods maker has had 'good data' in the first months of 2009, Chairman and Chief Executive Diego Della Valle said in an interview in la Repubblica on Monday. INTESA SANPAOLO (Milan: ISP.MI - news) Monitoring of Italian bank lending by government prefects is excessively demagogic, the bank's CEO Corrado Passera said on Saturday. TELECOM ITALIA (Milan: TIT.MI - news) The group's EBITDA margin will remain stable in 2009 at 38.8 percent before rising above 39 percent in 2011, Il Sole 24 Ore (Milan: S24.MI - news) said on Sunday in a survey. The group has 14.7 billion euros to tackle debt maturities to 2011, it said. ACEA (Milan: ACE.MI - news) , GDF SUEZ (Paris: FR0010208488 - news) The main shareholders met on Saturday to discuss governance issues with a view to reaching a strategic agreement with French partner GDF Suez. La Reppublica on Sunday said investment bank Mediobanca (Milan: MB.MI - news) is likely to be advisor in the operation, adding Marco Staderini will be Acea's new chief executive. * FIAT (Milan: F.MI - news) The Italian vehicle group's heavy machinery unit CNH Global (NYSE: CNH - news) has launched its first agricultural tractor model powered by an electric motor using hydrogen fuel cells, la Repubblic said on Monday. * ENI (Milan: ENI.MI - news) JP Morgan raised its rating on the oil company to 'overweight' from 'neutral'. Bernstein cut Eni's price target to 20 euros from 25 euros, rating 'outperform'. SMALL AND MID CAPS MARIELLA BURANI FASHION GROUP The fashion company is studying a merger with its 60 percent-controlled unit Antichi Pellettieri (Milan: AP.MI - news) , it said on Saturday, adding the boards should be in a position to approve the merger by the end of March.
