Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on Sept 15
MILAN, Sept 15 (Reuters) - The following factors could
affect Italian markets on Tuesday.

FIAT (Milan: F.MI - news)
Fiat executives hold news conferences at the Frankfurt auto
show.
* European new car sales rose 2.8 percent in July and 3.0
percent in August, supported by scrapping schemes, the ACEA (Milan: ACE.MI - news)
association of vehicle makers said.
Facing dwindling sales, U.S. vehicle maker Chrysler (Xetra: 710000 - news) , in
which Fiat owns 20 percent, is discovering it is easier to
reinvent a balance sheet than a line-up of cars and trucks,
analysts said.
ENEL (Milan: ENEL.MI - news)
UniCredit (Milan: UCG.MI - news) upgrades the stock to overweight from marketweight
UNICREDIT
The bank will decide on September 29 whether to ask the
Italian government to subscribe to bonds to boost the bank's
capital, Il Sole 24 Ore (Milan: S24.MI - news) said in an unsourced report, adding
Intesa Sanpaolo (Milan: ISP.MI - news) 's board will decide the same day.
ASSET MANAGERS
The government's seven-month tax amnesty, which starts
Tuesday, is expected to see the repatriation of up to 4.5
billion euros of foreign savings, Il Sole 24 Ore said.
SMALL AND MID CAPS
* ACEA
Top management of utility Acea and France's GDF Suez (Paris: FR0010208488 - news) met last Friday to discuss their partnership, MF said
without citing sources. The only outstanding problem is their
sales and trading joint venture which Acea wants majority
control of, it said. Acea is considering tapping the bond
market, it added.
ANTICHI PELLETTIERI (Milan: AP.MI - news)
Mariella Burani (Milan: MBFG.MI - news) is not considering a sale of its
listed unit Antichi Pellettieri, the luxury goods maker said in
a statement on Monday, denying a press report that sent Antichi
Pellettieri shares sharply higher.
Mariella Burani's board meets on Tuesday about a capital
hike needed to restructure the company, news agency ANSA said on
Monday, citing unnamed sources close to the matter.
RISANAMENTO
The debt-laden real estate company said in a statement on
Monday its board has resigned and that shareholders will meet in
November (Dusseldorf: NBXB.DU - news) to appoint a new one.
DANIELI (Milan: DAN.MI - news)
State-owned Emirates Steel Industries said on Monday it had
signed a 1.74 billion dirhams ($474 million) contract with
Danieli Corporation for phase II B of the Emirate company's
expansion plant.
AZIMUT (Milan: AZM.MI - news)
The asset manager has signed am agreement with Mediobanca (Milan: MB.MI - news) retail bank unit CheBanca for current accounts and
mortgages, Corriere della Sera said in an unsourced item.
MANAGEMENT & CAPITALI
Tamburi Investment Partners has decided not to
raise its offer for M&C shares, which closes Tuesday, Tamburi
said on Monday. Mi.Mo.Se's offer for M&C also closes on Tuesday.
A third offer from Modena Capitali starts on Wednesday.
* I VIAGGI DEL VENTAGLIO (Milan: VVE.MI - news)
The company's shares have been suspended indefinitely from
trading, the bourse said.
* ANSALDO STS (Milan: STS.MI - news)
Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS - news) raised its rating on the stock to neutral,
from sell.
