EU inquiry deadline for Vion buy of Grampian July 31
BRUSSELS (Thomson Financial) - The European Commission said the deadline for its inquiry into Dutch meat processor Vion's proposed acquisition of UK food business Grampian is set for July 31.
Grampian will be integrated into a new division, Vion UK, led by Ton Christiaanse, who is currently chief operating officer of Vion's Convenience Division.
No financial details were disclosed.
