UK DMO auction of 2.5 billion pounds in 2018 gilts covered by bids 2.05 times

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - The UK's Debt Management Office said its auction of 2.5 billion pounds worth of Treasury gilts maturing in 2018 was covered by bids 2.05 times.

Bids for the gilts, which carry a yield of 5 percent,
totaled 5.135 billion pounds.

The highest accepted bid was 100.70 with a yield of 4.908 percent, while the lowest accepted bid was 100.65 with a yield of 4.915 percent.

Bids at the lowest accepted price were allocated approximately 39.0 percent of the amount bid for, the DMO said.
