Pactolus Hungarian Property FY pretax profit slumps, but dividend maintained

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Pactolus Hungarian Property Plc (LSE: PHU.L - news) . posted a slump in full-year pretax profit but maintained
its full-year dividend at 2.1 pence.

The AIM-listed property company said its net asset value per share was 73 pence at the end of 2007, against a placing price of 60 pence.

It reported a pretax profit of 317,580 euros for 2007, against 5.87 million euros a year earlier.

Pactolus, which focuses on residential freehold in affluent districts of central Budapest, said it is very difficult to predict the outcome for 2008 in Budapest and that it plans to proceed with caution and patience.
