India's Chennai Petroleum Q4 net profit 3.44 bln rupees vs 1.89 bln
MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - India's Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. said its fourth-quarter net profit rose to 3.44 billion rupees from 1.89 billion a year earlier.
The Indian Oil Corp. group company said in a regulatory filing that total income, including sales, for the quarter ended March 31, rose to 83.67 billion rupees from 57.59 billion.
Chennai Petroleum shares closed 4.27 percent higher at 350.10 rupees on the Bombay Stock Exchange while the benchmark Sensex was up 2.21 percent at 17,353.54.
