MAJOR DECLINERS
-Heijmans (Amsterdam: HEY.AS - news) dropped 12.11 percent to 24.03 after the company came out with another profit warning, prompting a flurry of downgrades from brokers. The profit warning was accompanied by the resignation of Heijmans CEO Guus Hoefsloot, effective in June.
-ASMI sank 7.86 percent to 16.30 after the ASM International Foundation took a 30 percent stake in the company and put the break-up of the company on the back burner until 2010, analysts said.
-ArcelorMittal (Amsterdam: NSCNL0001MT7.AS - news) fell 2.01 percent to 63.41, investors took profit and disregarded Rabo Securities raising its price target to 65 euros from 55 euros.
-Aegon (Amsterdam: AGN.AS - news) slid 0.89 percent to 10.04.
-ASML shed 0.78 percent to 18.98.
-Corio lost 0.66 percent to 58.70 after UBS (Virt-X: UBSN.VX - news) downgraded its stance to 'neutral' from 'buy' and repeated its 63 euros price target this morning, on valuation grounds, following the 12 percent rise in its share price in the last three months, traders said.
-Royal Dutch Shell (Amsterdam: RDSA.AS - news) was off 0.39 percent to 25.75.
-TomTom (Amsterdam: TOM2.AS - news) was 0.19 percent lower to 25.80 after the approval Wednesday of its takeover of Tele Atlas (Amsterdam: TA.AS - news) . SNS Securities rates TomTom at 'buy', but has its 34.50 eur price target under review.
MAJOR GAINERS
-Heineken (Amsterdam: HEIA.AS - news) was up 1.30 percent to 38.24.
-TNT (Amsterdam: TPG.AS - news) lifted 0.79 percent to 25.53.
-Ahold (Amsterdam: AH.AS - news) put on 0.77 percent to 9.77.
-Tele Atlas edged 0.03 percent higher to 29.87 after SNS Securities upgraded the issue to 'hold' from 'sell' and set its price target at 30.0 eur, after the EU on Wednesday approved the company's takeover by TomTom.
