Greg Kerr has been at the helm of the fund since June 2006 and has struggled to turn it around. This move will allow him to focus on managing his North American mandates in addition to his institutional responsibilities.
Hitesh Thakrar took over the New Star Technology Fund in September 2006 and has steadily improved the fund’s performance. His strategy looks at identifying global macroeconomic trends to seek opportunities across different sectors. He will use his expertise to try and turn around the fortunes of the Global Equity Fund.
