3-month dollar interbank rates fall
LONDON, April 14 (Reuters) - The interbank lending rate for
three-month dollar funds fell on Tuesday, while euro rates also
inched lower.
Three-month dollar deposit rates were indicated
in a range of between 1.04 and 1.43 percent, compared
with
1.18 and 1.43 percent on Thursday, before the long Easter
weekend, and three-month euro deposit rates were
indicated between 1.27-1.43 percent versus 1.30 and 1.46
percent.
Three-month sterling funds were quoted in a 1.21-1.40
percent range compared with 1.18-1.35 percent early on Thursday.
The two-year U.S. interest rate swap spread, a key measure
of broader banking and financial market stress, was at 56 basis
points from 57 basis points early on Thursday, Reuters charts
showed.
Interbank deposit rates are only indicative prices of where
banks are lending to each other, which institutions use as a
base to set their own lending rates.
