Bank of America Corp (NYSE: IKJ - news) has agreed to hand over to
investigators documents describing the legal advice it received
related to its purchase of Merrill Lynch (NYSE: MER - news) , according to a report
in the Wall Street Journal.
The move comes after months of resistance to turning over
the documents, the report said, noting that bank officials have
cited attorney-client privilege when refusing to discuss the
legal advice it received.

Shares of BofA, a Dow component, rose 0.4 percent to $18.10
in premarket trading.

optimism about the pace of a global economic recovery, as well
as weakness in the U.S. dollar.
