Eni's Scaroni discussed gas ventures with Gaddafi

ROME, June 13 (Reuters) - The chief executive of Italian oil and gas company Eni SpA (Milan: ENI.MI - news) discussed joint ventures
in gas with Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) at a meeting with Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi on Saturday, an ENI spokesman said.

Italian news agency Ansa quoted ENI CEO Paolo Scaroni as saying he had discussed cooperation with the NOC, particularly concerning the flows of larger volumes of gas towards Europe. The ENI spokesman confirmed the remarks.

Gaddafi is due to conclude a historic first visit to former colonial power Italy on Saturday. Keywords: ENERGY ENI/LIBYA
