Google sites rank as top U.S. video property in March -- ComScore

SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Google Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG - news) . sites ranked as the top U.S. video property in March, with more than
4.3 billion videos viewed, or a 38% share, according to data released Monday by comScore Inc.

YouTube.com accounted for 98% of all videos viewed at Google Sites, comScore said.

News Corp.'s Fox Interactive Media ranked second in March with 477 million videos, or a 4.2% share, followed by Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO - news) sites with 328 million, or a 2.9% share, and Viacom Digital with 249 million, or a 2.2% share.

Overall, U.S. Internet users viewed 11.5 billion online videos during March, up 13% from February and 64% from a year ago.

Google sites attracted 85.7 million viewers in March and they watched an average of 51 videos each, comScore said.

Shares of Google rose 1.3% to $580.84.
