UK's Brown to hold talks with EU leaders of global economy Jan 29
LONDON (Thomson Financial) - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will host a meeting of EU leaders to discuss the global economy Jan 29, a Downing Street spokesman said.
Brown announced his intention to hold the meeting last month.
The spokesman said the attendance list and complete agenda have not been finalised.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi are expected to attend.
The meeting is expected to look at the work of the Financial Stability Forum, an international grouping of regulators and central bankers.
