NEW DELHI (Thomson Financial) - German railway operator Deutsche Bahn AG said it will together with Indian Railways look into building a rail cargo hub in India to benefit from growing demand for logistic services in the subcontinent.

The two companies agreed to form a joint working group to evaluate building such a hub with links to road-, air- and sea freight traffic, the company said in a statement today.

The company's plans are in response to demands from international clients, which plan to boost investment in India, chief executive officer Hartmut Mehdorn said in the statement.
