Aker Floating Production wins 10-year contract worth 1.1 bln usd
OSLO (Thomson Financial) - Aker Floating Production ASA (Oslo: AKFP.OL - news) said it had won a 10-year contract from Reliance Industries Limited worth 1.1 bln usd.
Aker (Oslo: AKER.OL - news) said Reliance Industries Limited had exercised an option to call a 10-year bare boat contract with Aker's subsidiary Aker Contracting for the FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading vessel) Aker SMART 1.
'Over the 10 year duration of the contract, this amounts to 1.1 bln usd of bare boat revenues,' Aker said in a statement.
A bare boat charter sees that a ship is chartered without a crew.
No other information was immediately available.
