Ivory Management, a stakeholder in Internet company Yahoo
Inc, Wednesday urged the company to sell its search
business to Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ: MSFT - news) . Ivory, which owns 1.5
percent of Yahoo, said the move could more than double Yahoo's
value.
Earlier this year, Microsoft made separate bids to buy
Yahoo and the search business. Both offers were turned down.
Shares of Yahoo gained 6.6 percent to $13 while shares of
Microsoft, a Dow component, were flat at $20.57.
