Japan PM Aso: stock slide could hurt real economy

TOKYO, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso said on Friday the slide in Tokyo's stock market could hurt the real economy.

Japan's benchmark Nikkei (news)
share average plunged 11 percent on Friday morning. Aso also said Finance Minister Shoichi Nakagawa would propose assisting troubled Iceland through the International Monetary Fund at a Group of Seven finance ministers and central bankers' meeting in Washington.
