A Royal Bank of Scotland branch logo is pictured reflected on a clothes shop sale sign in Chelmsford in Essex. Royal Bank of Scotland, which is majority-owned by the British government, said Tuesday that it will axe up to 2,300 jobs as it looks to recover from the credit crunch and the mis-timed takeover of ABN Amro.
