2009 BUDGET
The government is due to discuss the final draft of the 2009
budget, including macroeconomic forecasts, on Tuesday.
MACROECONOMIC FORECAST FOR SEPTEMBER
Poland's economy will grow by 4.4 percent in 2009, below a
government forecast of 4.8 percent, as a slowdown in the euro
zone will weigh more heavily on growth than previously expected,
a Reuters poll showed on Monday.

2009 GDP DOWN
Poland's finance ministry has cut next year's growth
forecast to 4.8 percent from 5.0 percent as part of a revision
of the economic parameters for the 2009 budget, a source at the
ministry told Reuters on Monday.
WARSAW BOURSE DEBUTES CUT
Global stock market gloom may cut the number of new listings
on the Warsaw bourse to up to 40 this year from a previously
expected 70, its chief executive said on Monday.
PETROLINVEST
Kazakh companies are interested in increasing their stake at
Polish oil exploration firm Petrolinvest next year
over 40 percent they will get under an equity swap deal soon to
be finalised, Parkiet daily wrote on Tuesday.
