Petrofac Emirates JV wins first contract

LONDON (ShareCast) - Petrofac (LSE: PFC.L - news) has been awarded a 48-month gas development contract in Abu Dhabi.

The international
oil and gas services provider’s 50% owned joint venture, Petrofac Emirates, has received a letter of award from GASCO (GASCO.SN - news) for the construction of the fourt natural gas liquid train at the Ruwais complex in Abu Dhabi.

It is the first project to be awarded to Petrofac Emirates. The contract is worth around $1bn to Pacific Emirates.

Petrofac’s partner in the joint venture is Mubadala Petroleum Services.
