British Airways workers are to hold a mass meeting ahead of this week's crunch cost-cutting talks.
Around 2,000 staff will hear how negotiations with the embattled company are progressing.
The airline wants to reach a deal on up to 4,000 job cuts across the firm.
BA bosses had given unions until June 30 to reach an agreement, but the deadline passed without a breakthrough.
Conciliation service Acas will chair a meeting between BA and unions on Wednesday in a fresh attempt to smash the deadlock.
"We believe BA is going through the motions with Acas and have a pre-arranged strategy for conflict," an official said.
"They are looking at compulsory redundancies as part of 2,500 job losses among cabin crew.
"They are also looking to resurrect the hated zero hours contracts for customer service staff which led to the disastrous breakdown a few years ago."
Pay cuts were agreed with leaders of BA pilots last month.
And 7,000 BA staff have applied for voluntary pay cuts, including 800 who said they will work unpaid for up to a month.
The company says the move will save BA £10m.
Union officials said staff were told by email to accept one of the options or face a meeting with a British Airways manager.
