Small caps round-up: Kalahari Minerals, Carpathian, Hardide...

LONDON (ShareCast) - Kalahari Mining said an independent assessment of its Rossing South Zone 1 uranium project has seen a resource and grade increase. "The 34% increase in resource for Zone 1 to 145 million lbs of U3O8 is fantastic news and
in line with our estimates," said Kalahari's chairman Mark Hohnen.

Carpathian (LSE: CPT.L - news) said it has signed a debt restructuring deal with Hypo Real Estate (Xetra: 802770 - news) for all of its existing facilities with the bank.

The transaction represents approximately 56% of the total debt of €417.1m within the Group as at 31 December 2008. The existing facilities are extended until the end of 2011

Hardide (Berlin: HXH.BE - news) , the provider of unique metal surface engineering technology, said it has raised £2.5m via a fundraising. "The net proceeds will fund working capital needs and also allow further development of the Company's diamond coating technology, as well as enhancement of market development in the USA," said the group.

Environmental sciences firm Accsys Technologies (LSE: AXS.L - news) saw ore-tax profit before tax fall to €1.8m against €5.4m last year. On revenue that rose to €31.2m (2008: €27.3m).
