Finland's Ruukki rumoured to float

LONDON (ShareCast) - Finland's Ruukki Group is reportedly planning to float on AIM early next year before moving to the full list a few months later.

The Times said the group, which yesterday said it is buying Sylvania Resources
(LSE: SLV.L - news) for €268m, would have a market cap of £700m.

Ruukki would join other major platinum producers listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: LSE.L - news) , including Anglo American (LSE: AAL.L - news) , the world's largest platinum miner, and South African-based Lonmin (LSE: LMI.L - news) .
