Two new funds float in London

LONDON (ShareCast) - Two new funds have started trading on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: LSE.L - news) 's Specialist Fund Market this
morning.

NB Private Equity Partners, which is also listed on Euronext Amsterdam, said it has sought admission to take advantage from the enhanced liquidity and improved profile associated with the London markets.

Altus Resource Capital, a fund launched by Altus to invest in junior resource companies, also started trading today. The Guernsey-domiciled closed-ended fund raised £26m.

"We are delighted to welcome two new funds to the Specialist Fund Market today," said Tracey Pierce, Head of Equity Primary Markets at London Stock Exchange.

"Altus Resource Capital demonstrates that despite the wider economic climate, London's investors continue to be responsive to new investment opportunities."

"NB Private Equity Partners' decision to join highlights some of the London markets' other key strengths: the enhanced liquidity and increased investor profile that they offer to issuers on an ongoing basis," she added.
