LONDON (ShareCast) - Shieldtech (LSE: STEC.L - news) , a provider of homeland security products, bounced off recent lows on news it
has won a "significant" contract with the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The firm's Aegis Engineering unit will supply soft armour protective ballistic panel inserts to be used within the 'Osprey' body armour systems currently in service with the MoD.
It did not disclose details of the deal, but said the MoD's Defence Clothing project was valued at a total of £16m.
