news) , according to press reports.
The Financial Times is quoting people familiar with the situation as saying that the company is considering making an offer for T-Mobile UK, which has an estimated enterprise value of €3bn-€4bn, or setting up a joint venture.
Premier Foods (LSE: PFD.L - news) is among the stocks dragging the food producer sector lower, even after the Hovis bread and Branston Pickle maker said trading has continued on track.
With shares generally on the up, defensive stocks such as electricity firm Scottish and Southern Energy and gas supplier Centrica (LSE: CNA.L - news) are in the red.
