1250: Petrofac still leads the FTSE 100 higher. The oil services group was boosted yesterday by talk of a bid. RBS (LSE: RBS.L - news) is lifted by the Bank of England's claim that banks are in a healthier condition than six months ago. Among the fallers is the cruise operator Carnival, not helped by strong crude prices. FTSE 100 up 16 at 4,268.
1110: Buoyancy among resource stocks is helping keep the FTSE 100 in positive territory. Oil services group Petrofac leads the way. Platinum group Lonmin (LSE: LMI.L - news) leads miners higher with metals prices going well. In the FTSE 250 (news) , Filtrona (LSE: FLTR.L - news) is going well after the filters group said its overall performance in the year to date has been in line with expectations. FTSE 100 up 17 at 4,269.
0840 Footsie is making good progress led by British Airways (LSE: BAY.L - news) as investors are impressed that nearly 7,000 of its staff volunteered for a pay cut while 800 agreed to work for nothing for a month. Wolseley (LSE: WOS.L - news) , Kazakhmys (LSE: KAZ.L - news) and ENRC are also going well. Financial groups Man and ENRC are the worst performers. FTSE 100 up 36 at 4,289.
