BT links up with India's Tata

LONDON (ShareCast) - Telecoms giant BT (LSE: BT-A.L - news) and India's Tata Communications will be sharing their huge resources
after signing a "major" global supply agreement for voice services.

The five-year deal sees Tata become BT's primary supplier of International Direct Dial (IDD) and other voice termination services outside BT's own footprint countries.

BT will be Tata's main distribution channel for its IDD traffic into the UK, with a view to grow into other markets across Europe later on.

No financial details were published.
